'If You Ever Left Me': Amazing Inspirational Poems of Hope: A Life Circle: About Love, Death and Faith; by Pearldiver. In this life that we are blessed with, there is one cruel certainty that affects us all in very different ways. Loosing a loved one can and often does feel like one of your most vital parts has been torn away from you and that the thought of going on alone, is so daunting that it seems impossible. Death never chooses a convenient time to take us, or those we love. Many of us put off taking the time to even consider or prepare for that certainty.
Untimely loss and how we actually deal with that event, will determine the quality of the rest of our own lives. Death brings the end of a life circle and for the survivors, the beginning of yet another, which contains the promise for rebuilding and more happiness. When you can build on a positive foundation that was created by the positive energy of a previous life, then you will have the ability to regain happiness and balance again. In attempting to support someone experiencing the loss of a partner or spouse, there are stages and steps that many will tell you that you should take to help with the grieving process. However, ultimately how well you do get through your loss, will come down to the personal balance, faith and perspective that will guide you intuitively, if you are strong enough to celebrate all the goodness of the positive energy that you found with that person.
For those who celebrate that life gone, the grieving process can be less painful and letting go, far easier. This poem of hope is not intended to be advice in how to deal with your loss, as the author does respect the fact that we are all different by such varying degrees. This poem was written for those lovers in this world who have been lucky enough to find, love and lose a great love that had filled their days with life. I hope that you find a special meaning in these words and that the energy within them helps you to realize that grieving, should not be a process of sadness, pain, or anger, when you have truly loved another as one. It is the new beginning of a new life circle; a circle of life in which you are the primary character. Consider what you positively learned from the last life circle. Now it is up to you to fill in the new colors that you want in your life and your new life circle. From the heart, this is: If You Ever Left Me.

If You Ever Left Me.
If you ever left me
Could I ever expect to find
That I would have to live forever
Fulfilled so
In such an afterglow, so intense
For so long
Beyond our time spent, as one
Undying love
Pledged to be, loved only as one
You left me. Alone, hear my aching heart
We never believed
Anything could pull us apart
Sensuality defined our love
Insatiably
Willingly, passionately we as one
Entwined in time
Yet death, has called you to leave me, here alone
I loved you
I loved you beyond these words
You left me. Though I loved you
They tell me that I must cry to grieve; but you always, always when sad, made me laugh!
Sadness is not worthy of our one
Painfully it would ride roughshod over my
love felt
Determined to break my love’s spirit
My spirit, My knowing
That in time I will find you again
But for now, your scent
Your undying presence remains here still, my love
And... beyond such mortal boundaries, I loved you
What do I do with this love, now in-defined
Each day I look for you
Here, in your happy, playful self
Your smile, the life within your eyes
The way you walked
Things about you, all here in this one heart
I knew you so well
Each day I feel that, you are my missing part
Only you have loved me
They tell me I must cry, to grieve. But you always made me laugh
Only you knew me well. How can others know my heart
For if I Never leave you... We will stay warm on the coldest days...
Oh yes, there is pain, but you always made my smile
So if I just sit each day with you, I will grieve, my tears will fall
Across these words, these times, I declare
In the language of our one heart
Beating for you, proudly within my sobbing breast
Promise to never leave this place, please promise
For if you ever left me, I could not survive without you here
Promise that together we'll bide, our memories with a smile
The seed in this heart, new hopes, will guide us in coldest days
For if I never leave you; we will stay warm in our love

My ex's grandfather passed away some years ago. He died a long sad drawn out death, from emphysema. When I spoke to his widow, she was all smiles. She said to me, "Of course I will miss him, but I am so thankful he is no longer in pain, and has moved on to a better place, how could I wish him to return? I am thankful for the time we had, I will not waste the time I have left with regret." Your poem reminds me of that. Fantastically done. :)

As you say; love is undying... although many a paramedic treating a successful cardiac arrest would potentially find fallacy in the issue. There are so many opportunities to find reason to celebrate a life, but I guess it takes a very strong positive action, to do such, at a time when most view the whole event as a negative thing. I found your page through another person's. My uncle died very suddenly in a car accident at the age of 49 just 8 months ago. My aunt and him had been together since he was 18 and she 14. A lot of your poem reminds me of their love. "They tell me I must cry, to grieve. But you always made me laugh" That part really hit me close. He always made all of us laugh. Only true and deep love can pay such a beautiful tribute to the one they love. Few people are fortunate enough to experience such intense love and even fewer to be loved by someone with the ability to express their love so beautifully!

I wrote this for an opportunity to show that the depths in a relationship that relate to the power of that attraction, should not always be considered as lost if their partner dies. That death must not always be seen as a negative experience, when there is so much within the power that they shared.
